Hi, I'm Haley!

I study graphic design at the University of Texas at Austin and have worked as an illustrator for The Daily Texan. I aim to facilitate creative, engaging interactions with every project. I'm specifically interested in designing for children's media as I pursue a certificate in education and literacy.

I grew up in Brooklyn, NY surrounded by a vibrant culture of arts and entertainment. Before I ever set my sights on graphic design, I adored creative writing. Daydreams of my future always included editing books or writing movies. And though my fascination with words now manifests itself in different ways, like long-winded autobiographies, my love for media never left me. I moved to a small town outside Waco, TX and realized the full potential for arts and entertainment to revitalize community. I watched my city blossom with arts opportunities and met my favorite people crafting book plots, managing theatre productions, and making films.

I believe graphic design has the power to shape the media we consume and what we learn from. Studying children's media especially has shown me that thoughtful art and design can impact entire generations. In my work, I aim to direct attention toward creativity, community, and education for all ages.
